By the time we reach the development phase, there are no surprises. The content is written, the design is approved, and we know exactly what we’re building. This is where everything comes together—and because the earlier phases were done properly, it goes quickly.
What happens in this phase
We build your site on WordPress, customize it to match your approved design, and place all your copy, images, and media exactly where they belong. We configure everything for fast load times, because slow pages lose visitors before they’ve read a word. We test across phones, tablets, and desktop computers before anything goes live. When everything passes review, we launch—and you’ll know the date in advance.
Why WordPress
WordPress powers more than 40% of all websites on the internet. That means a massive ecosystem of developers, tools, and support resources—and a platform that will be actively maintained and improved for as long as websites exist.
Unlike the drag-and-drop website builders you may have seen advertised, WordPress is open source: nobody owns it, and nobody can take it away from you. Your site is yours completely. If you ever want to move to a different host, work with a different developer, or take over management yourself, you can—no permission required, no lock-in, no strings attached.
What handoff looks like
Before we say goodbye, we walk you through your site so you’re confident managing it yourself. Updating a page, adding a blog post, swapping out an image—all of it is straightforward in WordPress, and we’ll make sure you have quality information about everything involved.
If you’d rather not deal with any of it, our maintenance plan covers updates, backups, and security monitoring on an ongoing basis.
